US-based chipmaker Qualcomm has unveiled a new and improved in-display fingerprint sensor, called the Qualcomm 3D Sonic Sensor Gen 2. In comparison to its predecessor, this sensor is said to be available in new sizes that are 50% faster and 77% larger than first generation sensor.
