Google says Nokia 6.1 Plus’ notch-hiding feature has nothing to do with them

Nokia 6.1 Plus is a fairly new mid-range smartphone by HMD Global that falls under Google Android One initiative. It is also one of the first by HMD that comes with a ‘notch’ display. But last week the handset made it into headlines as HMD, as a part of the August security update, decided to remove the option wherein users can choose to enable or disable the ‘notch’. This came a surprise for many as this was the first case ever where the firm removed this feature.
