B.C. quietly updates number of variants from U.K., South Africa as researcher raises concerns

Andrew Longhurst, a doctoral student at Simon Fraser University and a health policy researcher, said non-travel related cases of more infectious variants suggests they could be spreading in the community unchecked in B.C. — a situation he believes should be addressed urgently.
