
People with connections to the Kamloops residential school have been drawn to a memorial at the site commemorating the estimated 215 children whose remains the Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc First Nation says are buried there based on the findings of a recent radar survey. Some say they hope the discovery leads to similar searches across Canada and is the start of a new stage of healing in the reconciliation process.
