Canada plans to appeal China's 'mock sham trial' of Michael Spavor

Foreign Affairs Minister Marc Garneau says Canada will appeal the 11-year sentence handed down to one of the two men detained in China in what's widely seen as arbitrary detentions in retaliation to the arrest of a Chinese tech giant in Vancouver.
