B.C.'s Fraser Valley is no stranger to floods. Experts warn extreme weather is likely to become more common

Flooding is a recurring part of life in parts of the Fraser Valley, a relatively flat area surrounded by steep mountain ranges. Experts agree what’s happened this week is exceedingly rare, but warn they expect these rarities could become more common and more intense as the planet warms.
