Tornado team sweeps into Manitoba as part of national effort to boost safety grow understanding of twisters

The Western University-headquartered Northern Tornadoes Project has teams scattered across Canadian universities that it dispatches to areas where reported tornadoes touch down. Last week, researchers from Western joined a University of Manitoba crew that confirmed three tornadoes in a single weather event on June 20.
