Minimum wage rising to $15 in P.E.I., but advocates say that's not enough

SNAP households are expected to spend about 30 per cent of their own resources on food. In 2023, the estimated average benefit for one person was around $195 per month.

P.E.I.'s minimum wage will be going up to $15 an hour on Sunday, but social advocates say the increase doesn't go far enough for people in the throes of poverty.
